COVID Restrictions lifted Mon 19 July 2021

Many thanks for visiting our site. New site is coming very soon 🙂 England will move to the final stage of easing COVID restrictions on Monday 19 July! With all legal restrictions on social contact being lifted we must remain extremely cautious! Of course risks for all will continue, the virus is here to stay, but with protection from the vaccinations we could “withstand a summer wave” it is said! So, stock up and provide plenty of those essential hygiene products, especially for and in public / crowded locations and continue to wear face masks in indoor public places too. We all have a part to play and we CAN make a difference! The NHS Test & Trace will remain active until Monday 16 August, however, should someone test positive for the virus, they will still be legally required to self-isolate. What’s changing in England – Social distancing • No limits on how many people can meet • 1m+ guidance removed (except for hospitals and passport control) • Face coverings no longer required by law, although still recommended in crowded and enclosed spaces • Some shops and transport operators will still require masks Events and gatherings • Nightclubs can reopen • Pubs and restaurants no longer table-service only • No limits on guests at weddings and funerals • No limits on people attending concerts, theatres or sports events • No restrictions on communal worship Travel • Guidance recommending against travel to amber list countries removed • Under 18s and fully vaccinated adults no longer have to self-isolate after visiting amber list countries Other changes • Limits on visitors to care homes removed • From 16 August, most Covid restrictions in schools – including “bubbles” – will end. • From the same date, fully vaccinated adults will not need to self-isolate after contact with a positive case.
